The WAX Sports and Lounge Bar opened in May 2005 in the sunny resort of Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. A breath of fresh air into the tourist pub market, The WAX Bar stands out from the crowd as a British owned bar that attracts locals and tourists alike of every nationality.

We offer one of the largest selection of sports coverage from around the world, with five satellite systems (including SKY sports, BBC, ART, Al Jazeera, DSF Sport) whether it is Premiership, Conference, FA Cup, Carling Cup, Scottish Premier League, Super League, Premiership Rugby, Internationals, Formula 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Cricket, Darts, Snooker then there is no better bar in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote to watch it (look at our events page for what’s on when you are here)!

But as most people know, the sport is often a daytime, early evening affair and so the WAX Bar doesn’t just show sports! We have free game play with The Nintendo Wii, have fun trying out bowling, tennis, baseball and golf. We also have a free wireless network available to all paying customers, just bring your laptop down and log on, but if you aren’t bringing your laptop with you and still want to keep your holiday in real time then we have an internet pod as well. In the evening we don’t slow down either and offer a wide range of entertainment, from Karaoke to Theme and Party nights (look at our events page for when you’ll be out on holiday), whilst offering some of the cheapest drink prices in town (check out our offer on the forum to pay even less).
